Long-running anime can be confusing when a series, a film and a special all share the same world. The simplest way to start is to follow the story in the order it was meant to unfold, rather than the order in which clips appear online. Begin with the main series, then move to a film only when it continues that story, and check whether a prequel is meant to be seen first or saved for later. A short guide, a trailer and a clear synopsis make that choice easier. Use the titles below as a starting point, open a title to see what it is about, and build your watchlist one story at a time.
