Overview
Dr. Stone begins with a premise that is simple to grasp and hard to put down: one day, a strange light turns every person on Earth to stone. Thousands of years later, the brilliant teenager Senku Ishigami wakes in a world where cities have crumbled, nature has taken over, and almost everything humanity built is gone. Rather than accept that loss, Senku sets out to do what he does best — work out how things work, test ideas, and rebuild, step by step, from fire and simple tools toward medicine, communication and far beyond.
What gives the series its warmth is the team around Senku. His loyal friend Taiju brings heart and strength, while villagers, rivals and later allies each add skills, doubts and humour of their own. The show turns experiments into turning points: a success can feed a village or change a battle, and a failure usually teaches something just as useful. Across its seasons the scale grows from one small settlement to voyages and rival kingdoms, but the core question stays the same — what is worth rebuilding, and who gets to decide?
