Overview
In Paris, two ordinary teenagers carry an extraordinary secret. Marinette Dupain-Cheng is a kind-hearted student with a crush on her classmate Adrien Agreste, and with the help of a magical jewel called a Miraculous, she transforms into the spotted superheroine Ladybug. Adrien, meanwhile, becomes the quick-witted Cat Noir. The catch? Neither hero knows the other’s true identity, even though they sit in the same classroom every day.
Together, Ladybug and Cat Noir protect Paris from villains created by the mysterious Hawk Moth, who turns everyday people’s negative emotions into akumas, dark butterflies that transform them into supervillains. With help from their tiny magical companions, the kwamis Tikki and Plagg, the pair must outsmart each new threat, keep their identities hidden, and somehow survive school life at the same time. Created by Thomas Astruc, the series mixes superhero action, comedy and romance in a bright, Parisian setting.
