Overview
Love, Death & Robots is an animated anthology series presented by Tim Miller and David Fincher, made for Netflix. Instead of one continuing story, every episode is a self-contained short film, each with its own characters, setting and animation style. One short might follow soldiers facing a supernatural threat, the next might explore a far-future colony, and another might turn a household appliance into the hero of a strange little fable.
The three words in the title are the only real rules: love, death and robots recur in different combinations across the episodes, which range from dark comedy and horror to science fiction and satire. Because each short stands alone, viewers can dip in anywhere, though the series as a whole is aimed firmly at adult audiences, with mature themes, violence and strong language throughout.
