Overview
Shoot! Goal to the Future is a 2022 Japanese sports anime about the faded soccer team at Kakegawa High School. Once a powerhouse, the team has lost its edge — until former captain Atsushi Kamiya, now a world-famous player known as the “courageous captain,” crosses paths with Hideto Tsuji, a student who seems uninterested in the struggling squad. Their meeting sparks a fresh bid for glory.
Based on the manga continuation of the classic Shoot! story, the series mixes high-school drama with on-pitch action, as Tsuji, Subaru Kurokawa, Jo Kazama and their teammates fight match by match to restore Kakegawa’s pride.
