Pokémon Horizons: The Series

Pokémon Horizons: The Series turns the page on a familiar world, introducing brand-new heroes, a flying crew of adventurers and a mystery that stretches back to an ancient traveller. It is a fresh starting point for the Pokémon animated series, and it keeps the sense of wonder that made the franchise a household name.

Overview

Liko is a quiet student from Paldea who arrives at school carrying a strange pendant given to her by her grandmother. When a group of strangers calling themselves the Explorers comes after the pendant, Liko is rescued by Friede and the Rising Volt Tacklers, a band of adventurers who travel the world in a great airship. Alongside Roy, a boy from Kanto with a big heart and a love of adventure, Liko sets out to learn what her pendant really is — and why it seems connected to the legendary Pokémon Terapagos and to Lucius, an adventurer from a hundred years ago.

What sets Horizons apart is its spirit of discovery. Instead of gym badges and tournaments, the story is built around exploration: new regions, new friends and the slow unravelling of the Six Heroes, the Pokémon who once travelled with Lucius. Dot, the crew’s shy tech expert who streams as Gurumin, and Captain Pikachu, the airship’s cheerful partner, round out a cast that feels made for a long journey.
