Overview

During a festival built around the Millennium Comet — a comet that returns only once every thousand years — Ash, May, Brock and Max meet a travelling magician and a small, star-shaped Pokémon named Jirachi, who has just woken from a very long sleep. Jirachi is said to grant wishes, but only while the comet shines in the sky, and the friends soon discover that making a wish is not as simple as it sounds.

As the festival goes on, a former member of the magician’s troupe tries to seize Jirachi’s power for a scheme of his own, putting the little wish Pokémon and the whole celebration in danger. Ash and his friends must protect Jirachi until the comet passes and it returns to its long rest.
