Overview
BLACK TORCH centers on Jiro Azuma, a descendant of ninjas who has the rare gift of being able to talk to animals. When he crosses paths with Rago, a powerful black cat spirit, Jiro is pulled out of his everyday life and into a hidden conflict involving supernatural creatures known as mononoke and the secret organization that hunts them.
What gives the series its spark is the unlikely partnership at its heart. Jiro’s grounded, good-natured outlook plays against Rago’s formidable presence, and as the danger escalates, their bond becomes the key to surviving battles that neither of them could face alone.
