Overview
Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma follows Soma Yukihira, a teenager who has spent years cooking beside his father in their small family diner. When his father closes the restaurant to cook abroad, Soma is enrolled at Totsuki Culinary Academy, an elite school where only a fraction of students ever make it to graduation.
At Totsuki, cooking disputes are settled through shokugeki, high-stakes food wars in which students stake their pride, their clubs, and sometimes their place at the school. Across five seasons, Soma tests his diner-style cooking against classically trained rivals, including the formidable Erina Nakiri, and grows from a confident newcomer into a chef the other students genuinely respect.
