Overview
Kurozuka follows Kuro, a 12th-century warrior who flees into the mountains with his servant Benkei after losing to his elder brother’s forces. There they meet Kuromitsu, a mysterious woman who offers them shelter on one condition: they must never look inside her inner chambers.
When the Red Army attacks in search of Kuromitsu, whose blood carries the secret of immortality, the mortally wounded Kuro drinks her blood and gains strange powers of his own. He wakes centuries later in a ruined, dystopian future, where the Red Army still hunts Kuromitsu’s blood and a rebel army fights to stop them. Driven by his search for Kuromitsu and revenge, Kuro cuts a path through a dark mix of samurai action, vampiric horror and science fiction.
