Overview
Set in the Universal Century in 0085, five years after the One Year War ended very differently from the history most Gundam fans know, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX follows Amate Yuzuriha, a high-school student living a quiet life in a space colony. Her world changes when she meets the war refugee Nyaan and is pulled into Clan Battle, an illegal mobile suit dueling sport where pilots stake everything on fast, brutal matches.
Produced by khara and SUNRISE under director Kazuya Tsurumaki, the series pairs classic mecha action with a fresh alternate-history twist, as Amate — piloting the mysterious GQuuuuuuX — discovers a strange connection to the machine and to the people fighting beside her. Across its single season, the show mixes colony life, rivalry, and large-scale Gundam spectacle into one of the boldest reinventions the long-running saga has had in years.
