Overview
Shangri-La Frontier follows Rakuro Hizutome, a high-school student famous among players for clearing notoriously broken, so-called trash VR games. Looking for a fresh challenge, he dives into Shangri-La Frontier, a massively popular VRMMO praised as a god-tier game, taking on the bird-headed avatar Sunraku.
What starts as a change of pace soon grows far bigger. Sunraku’s unconventional skill and stubborn refusal to play by the book draw him into hidden quests, fearsome unique monsters, and rivalries with the game’s strongest players. Based on the web novel and manga, the series mixes MMO adventure, comedy, and high-stakes boss battles.
