Overview
My Happy Marriage follows Miyo Saimori, a young woman raised in cruelty by her stepmother and stepsister after losing her mother. Treated as a servant in her own home and told she is worthless, Miyo is sent into an arranged marriage with Kiyoka Kudo, a feared military commander known for driving away every previous fiancee. Instead of the cold reception she expects, Miyo finds patience and quiet kindness — and, for the first time, a home where she can begin to heal.
Set in a Taisho-era-inspired world where a few noble families carry supernatural gifts, the series blends romance with fantasy as Miyo’s own hidden power — the long-dormant Dream-Sight — slowly awakens. Based on Akumi Agitogi’s light novel series, the anime premiered on July 5, 2023, and a second season followed in 2025, continuing Miyo and Kiyoka’s story as their engagement deepens and new threats emerge.
