Overview
Mechanical Marie is a romantic comedy anime about a former martial arts legend who takes on an unusual new job. Marie Evans becomes a “mechanical maid” in the household of Arthur Louis Zetes, a wealthy young master who openly despises humans. There is just one catch: Marie is not a machine at all. She is completely human, and her naturally blank, expressionless face is the only thing keeping her secret safe.
Behind the perfect maid act, Marie is really working as Arthur’s bodyguard, quietly shielding him from a string of assassination attempts. The trouble starts when Arthur, who hates people, finds himself falling for his flawless, tireless maid. As his feelings grow and her double life gets harder to hide, the comedy and the romance both spiral out of control.
