Overview
Once Upon a Witch’s Death follows Meg Raspberry, an apprentice witch whose seventeenth birthday takes a frightening turn when her teacher, Faust, tells her she has only one year left to live. A curse known as the Death Sentence hangs over her, and the only way to break it is to create the Seed of Life.
That quest sends Meg out into the world to gather one thousand tears of joy, one person at a time. Along the way she meets strangers with their own worries and wishes, and each encounter becomes a small, self-contained story about kindness, grief and what makes a life worth celebrating.
