Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire

Overview

After the Silver Conference, Ash and Pikachu set out for the far-off Hoenn region, where Ash meets May, a new Trainer beginning her journey from Petalburg City, and her younger brother Max. Joined again by Brock, the group travels across Hoenn as Ash chases Gym badges and May discovers a passion for Pokémon Contests.

The Ruby and Sapphire era spans four seasons — Advanced, Advanced Challenge, Advanced Battle, and Battle Frontier. Along the way Ash catches Treecko, Taillow, and Corphish, May raises Torchic and Beautifly toward her first Contest ribbon, and the rival schemes of Team Magma and Team Aqua stir trouble across the region, with Team Rocket never far behind.
