Overview
Metallic Rouge is a science-fiction action series set in a future where humans live alongside androids called Neans. When a group of rogue Neans known as the Immortal Nine rises up against society, the authorities turn to an unlikely hunter: Rouge Redstar, a Nean herself who goes by the name Metal Rouge. Partnered with the investigator Naomi Orthmann, Rouge travels to Mars to track the Nine down — though her first priority, as ever, is chocolate.
Beneath the mission lies a deeper question about Rouge’s own identity and the fragile peace between humans and Neans. The series pairs stylish, high-energy action with a sharp buddy dynamic — Rouge is direct and impulsive, Naomi is cool-headed and keeps the job on track — as the pair closes in on enemies who blur the line between machine and person. It was produced by studio Bones and aired on Fuji TV.
