Overview
Masamune-kun’s Revenge is a romantic comedy anime about Masamune Makabe, a boy who was once overweight and cruelly rejected by the girl he liked, Aki Adagaki. Years later, he returns to her school slim, fit, and determined to make the girl now known as the “Brutal Princess” fall for him — only so he can turn her down exactly the way she once turned him down.
What starts as a simple revenge plan quickly tangles. Aki’s sharp-tongued maid Yoshino, the mysterious transfer student Neko, and Masamune’s own growing feelings keep pulling the scheme off course. Across its two seasons — the 2017 original and the 2023 follow-up, Masamune-kun’s Revenge R — the show mixes school comedy, romance, and one slow-burn question: is Masamune still chasing payback, or has he started falling for real?
