Overview
Set in the world of the Pacific Rim films, Pacific Rim: The Black follows teenage siblings Taylor and Hayley Travis in a kaiju-ravaged Australia. After their parents vanish on a rescue mission, the two are left behind in a remote settlement — until they discover Atlas Destroyer, a battered, long-abandoned Jaeger, and teach themselves to pilot it on a desperate journey across a hostile continent to find their family.
Created by Greg Johnson and Craig Kyle and produced by Legendary Television with Polygon Pictures, the series ran on Netflix for two seasons from 2021 to 2022. Across 14 episodes, Taylor and Hayley cross ruined cities and outback wastes, crossing paths with fellow survivors, a cult, and the mysterious child known only as Boy, while the shadow of the kaiju — and of the Black itself — hangs over every step toward Sydney.
