Overview
Steven Universe follows Steven, a cheerful half-human, half-Gem boy growing up in the seaside town of Beach City. After inheriting a magical gemstone from his mother, Rose Quartz, Steven joins the Crystal Gems — Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl — three ancient Gem warriors who protect Earth. As he learns to summon his shield, heal and fuse with others, Steven discovers that being a hero is as much about kindness and listening as it is about power.
Created by Rebecca Sugar, the Cartoon Network series ran for five seasons and grew from playful slice-of-life adventures into one of animation’s most heartfelt sagas, tackling identity, family, loss and forgiveness through dazzling musical numbers and a huge, lovable cast. The story later continued in Steven Universe: The Movie and the epilogue series Steven Universe Future.
