Overview
Sakuta Azusagawa is an ordinary second-year high school student in a bright seaside town near Enoshima, until he walks into the school library and finds a girl in a bunny-girl outfit. She is Mai Sakurajima, a former teen actress and his senior at school, and she has a strange problem: nobody else can see her, and people around her are forgetting she exists. The phenomenon behind it is called Puberty Syndrome, a set of odd, adolescence-linked events that bend time, memory and even bodies.
What follows is a warm, witty and often emotional mix of romance, comedy and supernatural mystery. Each new arc brings another girl touched by Puberty Syndrome — a classmate repeating the same day, a friend split into two selves, a sister whose body and memories have swapped with someone else — and Sakuta, blunt and kind in equal measure, steps in to help while his own bond with Mai deepens. Animated by CloverWorks and based on Hajime Kamoshida’s light novels, the series pairs everyday school life with questions about being seen, remembered and understood.
