Overview
What happens when a confident teenager who would rather live inside a fantasy novel than finish summer camp stumbles through a portal into a world where witches are real? In The Owl House, Luz Noceda finds out. Instead of heading to a reality-check camp, Luz follows a tiny owl through a doorway and lands in the Boiling Isles, a strange and wonderful realm built on the bones of a fallen Titan, where magic is taught in school and every witch carries a palisman.
There she meets Eda, the Owl Lady, a rebellious witch with a bounty on her head, and King, a tiny creature who insists he is the King of Demons. Luz becomes Eda’s apprentice, enrolls at Hexside School of Magic and Demonics, and slowly builds a found family of friends, including Willow, Gus, Amity and Hunter. What starts as a fish-out-of-water comedy grows into a rich story about belonging, identity, courage and standing up to a system that fears what it cannot control. Created by Dana Terrace, the series ran on Disney Channel from January 2020 to April 2023 and won a devoted following for its heartfelt characters, inventive magic and bold storytelling.
