Overview
Mr Bean: The Animated Series takes Rowan Atkinson’s wordless troublemaker and drops him into cartoon form, where every ordinary task becomes a small disaster. Armed with little more than a raised eyebrow, a battered Mini and his beloved teddy bear, Mr Bean turns shopping trips, dentist visits and quiet days at home into elaborate slapstick set pieces. The show keeps the spirit of the original live-action comedy while letting animation stretch each gag further than real life ever could.
Created by Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis, the series follows Mr Bean through his flat, his neighbourhood and the wider world, usually with his long-suffering landlady Mrs Wicket and his girlfriend Irma Gobb caught in the crossfire. Because Bean barely speaks, the comedy is almost entirely visual, which makes it easy viewing for the whole family and for viewers of any language.
