Overview
Pokémon 3: The Movie turns a child’s grief into a living dream world. When young Molly Hale loses her father, the mysterious Unown answer her loneliness by building a crystal mansion around her and creating Entei, a powerful guardian she believes is her father. The fantasy is beautiful but fragile, and it soon threatens everyone around it.
Directed by Kunihiko Yuyama, the film works because its danger comes from love rather than villainy. Molly is not evil, only lonely, and Ash, Misty and Brock must find a way to reach her without destroying the world she has made. It is one of the most emotional entries in the early Pokémon films, and Entei remains a memorable screen presence.
