Pokémon the Series: XY

Overview

Pokémon the Series: XY sends Ash and Pikachu to the Kalos region, where Ash sets out to earn Gym badges on the road to the Kalos League. In Lumiose City he meets Clemont, an inventor and Gym Leader, and his younger sister Bonnie, and he reunites with Serena, a childhood friend from Vaniville Town who finds her own calling in Pokémon Showcases. From Santalune City to Shalour City and beyond, the group meets new Kalos Pokémon such as Froakie, Fennekin, and Chespin, and begins to uncover the mystery of Mega Evolution.

The era continues through XY: Kalos Quest and XYZ, as Serena’s Showcase journey and Ash’s Gym quest both reach new heights. Ash’s bond with Greninja grows stronger than any ordinary Trainer-Pokémon partnership, the villainous Team Flare threatens the whole of Kalos, and Team Rocket — Jessie, James, and Meowth — keeps chasing Pikachu at every turn. Gym battles, Showcases, and the Kalos League all shape a journey that tests Ash’s skill and his friendships alike.
