Overview
Smiling Friends follows Pim and Charlie, two cheerful workers at a small company with one unusual mission: to make unhappy people smile again. Their clients range from ordinary people having a bad day to bizarre creatures with very strange problems, so every job quickly turns into something far stranger than a simple pep talk.
Created by Michael Cusack and Zach Hadel for Adult Swim, the show mixes bright, colourful animation with surreal, dark humour and unexpected twists. It is an adult cartoon at heart, and its best jokes come from how seriously its optimistic heroes take their hopeless, hilarious assignments.
