Overview
Tanzaburo Tojima is 40 years old, and he has never given up on the dream he has carried since childhood: to become a Kamen Rider. Where most people his age have traded make-believe for mortgages and office work, Tojima still throws himself into the fantasy with total sincerity, convinced that a masked hero’s life is the one he was meant to live. His devotion is funny, stubborn and oddly moving all at once, and it makes him the perfect hero for a story about refusing to grow out of what you love.
Things take a sharp turn when a string of robberies inspired by the villainous Shocker organisation drags Tojima and his fellow Kamen Rider fans into real danger. Suddenly the poses, the catchphrases and the toy belts are no longer just play: the adults who love Kamen Rider a little too much find themselves playing pretend for real, facing criminals who have borrowed the villains’ playbook. Mixing slapstick comedy with genuine tokusatsu action, the series is both a loving tribute to the Kamen Rider legacy and a warm story about grown-ups who will not let their heroes go.
