Overview
Tom and Jerry is a slapstick cartoon built around one of animation’s longest-running rivalries: Tom, a house cat determined to catch Jerry, a quick-witted mouse who always seems to be one step ahead. Almost every episode turns an ordinary home — a kitchen, a garden, a living room — into a playground for chases, traps and spectacularly messy accidents.
The 2014 series, The Tom and Jerry Show, keeps that classic recipe while giving it a bright, modern look. Tom and Jerry are joined by familiar faces such as Spike the bulldog, Tuffy and Butch, and the comedy still works with very little dialogue: the jokes land through timing, expressions and sound, which is why the duo has stayed popular with children and adults alike for generations.
