Valkyria Chronicles

Overview

In Valkyria Chronicles, war arrives at the doorstep of a quiet border town. When the Empire invades the small nation of Gallia, university student Welkin Gunther is pulled into a fight he never asked for, standing beside Town Watch captain Alicia Melchiott and his adopted sister Isara as they flee the burning town of Bruhl and join Gallia’s citizen militia.

As a member of the newly formed Squad 7, Welkin must turn farmers, students and ordinary townsfolk into soldiers who can hold the line against a far larger army. Adapted from SEGA’s beloved strategy game, the series mixes large-scale battles with the small, human moments between them — a story about courage, loyalty and what ordinary people are willing to defend when their home is at stake.
