Carmen Sandiego (2019)

Overview

Carmen Sandiego (2019) flips the classic chase on its head. Instead of hunting the world’s most famous thief, viewers follow her — a brilliant young woman in a red coat and matching hat who steals only from thieves. Trained at the secret V.I.L.E. Academy, Carmen walks away from the criminal organisation that raised her and turns her skills toward stopping its schemes around the globe.

Each caper takes Carmen and her friends to a new city, from Amsterdam to Mumbai, where a priceless artefact or a daring heist is on the line. With her hacker friend Player guiding her from afar and Zack and Ivy backing her up on the ground, Carmen stays one step ahead of both V.I.L.E.’s operatives and the detective determined to catch her. Along the way, the show slowly reveals her past and why she chose to become a thief who gives back.
