Overview

Ashito Aoi is a gifted young soccer player from a small town in Ehime, but his temper costs his junior high team dearly in a match that matters most. Just as his hopes of a soccer future seem finished, Tokyo City Esperion youth coach Tatsuya Fukuda notices something rare in him: an instinctive ability to see the entire pitch at once, like a bird scanning the field from above. Fukuda invites him to Tokyo for a tryout, and Ashito’s second chance begins.

At Esperion, Ashito discovers that raw instinct is not enough against players who have trained at an elite level since childhood. He must rebuild his game from the basics, learn to read the flow of play, and earn the trust of teammates who see him as an outsider. Aoashi follows that slow, hard climb through tryouts, league matches, rivalries and friendships, making it a sports drama about vision, discipline and belief as much as about goals.
