Overview
Blue Lock is a high-stakes sports anime built around a radical idea: after Japan’s national team falls short on the world stage, the Japanese Football Association launches the Blue Lock project, a ruthless training program that gathers 300 of the country’s most talented high school strikers and pits them against each other. Only one will survive the selection and emerge as the ego-driven striker Japan needs to win the World Cup.
At the center of it all is Yoichi Isagi, a gifted but selfless forward who must unlearn his team-first instincts and embrace his own hunger to score. Under the watch of the eccentric coach Jinpachi Ego, Isagi and his rivals, including the instinctive Meguru Bachira, the powerful Rensuke Kunigami and the prodigy Seishiro Nagi, fight through brutal eliminations where a single loss can end a career before it begins.
