Overview
Dan Da Dan follows Momo Ayase, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums who believes in ghosts but not aliens, and her classmate Ken “Okarun” Takakura, an occult enthusiast who believes in aliens but not ghosts. When a bet sends them to a haunted tunnel and a supposed UFO hotspot on the same night, both of them turn out to be right: Momo awakens a hidden psychic power, Okarun is possessed by the Turbo Granny’s curse, and the two are thrown into a world where spirits, aliens, and awakened powers collide.
Based on Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga and animated by Science SARU, the series mixes high-energy action, offbeat comedy, and a slow-burn romance between its two leads, as Momo and Okarun take on one bizarre paranormal threat after another while trying to keep their everyday school lives intact.
