Death Note

Overview

Light Yagami is a brilliant but bored high-school student whose life changes when a notebook falls from the sky. Dropped into the human world by the Shinigami Ryuk, the Death Note kills anyone whose name is written in it, and Light decides to use it to rid the world of criminals under the name Kira.

As unexplained deaths pile up, the world’s greatest detective, known only as L, takes up the case. What follows is a tense battle of wits between two brilliant minds, each trying to unmask the other, while Light’s crusade blurs the line between justice and murder.
