Overview
Dragon Ball is where one of anime’s biggest adventures begins. A young boy named Goku, who lives alone in the mountains, meets the brilliant teenager Bulma, and the two set out to find the seven Dragon Balls, mystical orbs that grant a single wish to whoever gathers them all. What starts as a lighthearted treasure hunt soon grows into a journey across strange lands, filled with oddball allies, fierce rivals and villains who want the Dragon Balls for themselves.
Along the way, Goku trains under the martial arts master Roshi, tests himself in the World Martial Arts Tournament and faces the Red Ribbon Army, an organisation hunting the Dragon Balls for world domination. The series mixes comedy, action and heart in equal measure, and it lays the groundwork for everything that follows in the Dragon Ball saga, from Goku’s growth as a fighter to the friendships that define the franchise.
