Haikyu!!

Overview

Haikyu!! follows Shoyo Hinata, a short but fiercely determined middle-schooler who falls in love with volleyball after watching a small-statured professional player soar above the net on television. After scraping together a team for his final middle-school tournament, he runs straight into Tobio Kageyama, the prodigy setter nicknamed the “King of the Court,” and loses badly. Vowing to surpass him, Hinata arrives at Karasuno High School only to discover that Kageyama is now his teammate.

Based on Haruichi Furudate’s Weekly Shonen Jump manga, the series turns volleyball into high-stakes drama, where every rally is a battle of reflexes, trust and tactics. Across four seasons, Karasuno rebuilds from a fallen powerhouse into a national contender, with Hinata and Kageyama’s lightning-fast “freak quick” attack at the heart of the team’s rise. It is a sports story about height, heart and the work it takes to fly.
