Overview
Heaven Official’s Blessing is a Chinese animated fantasy, or donghua, following Xie Lian, a once-celebrated crown prince who has fallen from grace not once but three times. Now scraping by as a lowly god collecting scrap, he crosses paths with Hua Cheng, a mysterious and powerful ghost king whose devotion to him runs far deeper than it first appears.
As Xie Lian takes on cases in the mortal world, the story slowly unravels the tragedies of his past lives, the gods who betrayed him, and the bond that has quietly endured through it all. With lush animation, a sweeping romantic undercurrent, and a richly imagined heavenly court, it is a tale of kindness that refuses to break, even after centuries of misfortune.
