Overview
Hunter x Hunter follows Gon Freecss, a cheerful boy from Whale Island who sets out to become a Hunter, a licensed elite who takes on dangerous tasks, so that he can find his father Ging, a legendary Hunter who left when Gon was small. To earn his license, Gon must survive the grueling Hunter Examination, where he meets the friends who will shape his journey.
Along the way, Gon teams up with Killua, a former assassin from a famous family of killers; Kurapika, the last survivor of the Kurta clan, who seeks revenge; and Leorio, a would-be doctor with a sharp tongue and a big heart.
