Overview
Johnny Bravo is a muscle-bound bachelor with a towering pompadour, sunglasses and total confidence in his own charm. He talks like Elvis, moves like a karate star and believes every woman he meets should be impressed. In practice, almost every approach ends in a slap, a door in the face or a pratfall, because the women around him see straight through the act.
Created by Van Partible for Cartoon Network, the series ran from 1997 to 2004 and built its comedy on the gap between Johnny’s self-image and reality. Around him are his no-nonsense mother Bunny Bravo, his clever young neighbor Little Suzy and the easygoing Pops, who run the local diner, while Johnny blunders from one scheme to the next and rarely learns a thing.
