Overview
Coop Burtonburger’s ordinary life is turned upside down when his younger sister, Millie, brings home a stray cat. To everyone else, Mr. Kat looks like a harmless pet, but Coop is convinced the cat is really a cybernetic alien with plans of its own. The trouble is that almost nobody believes him, so Coop is left to face the cat’s schemes largely on his own, with only his best friend, Dennis, in his corner.
The fun of the series comes from that one-sided war. Coop sets traps, gathers so-called evidence and tries to expose Mr. Kat, while the cat calmly outsmarts him, hides its gadgets and plays innocent whenever an adult walks in. Beneath the slapstick and wild inventions is a simple family comedy about a boy who keeps telling the truth as he sees it, even when every grown-up in the room thinks he is just making excuses.
