Overview
Log Horizon begins on the day an update to the online game Elder Tale traps 30,000 players inside the game world. Among them is Shiroe, an eight-year veteran strategist who wakes up in the city of Akiba with no way to log out, and discovers that even death is no escape. With his friends Naotsugu and Akatsuki at his side, he must work out how this new reality functions before panic and opportunists tear the city apart.
Rather than a simple race to escape, the series becomes a story of building a society: Shiroe founds the guild Log Horizon, unites Akihabara’s guilds into the Round Table, negotiates with the world’s native people, and turns economics, cooking and diplomacy into tools of survival. Based on Mamare Touno’s light novels, it is an isekai that prizes strategy and world-building over brute force, led by Takuma Terashima’s calculating Shiroe.
