Lookism

Overview

Lookism follows Park Hyung Seok, a high school student who has endured years of bullying over his appearance. When he transfers to a new school hoping for a fresh start, he wakes up one morning in a second body: tall, handsome, and confident, the polar opposite of his original self. By day he lives as his new self, making friends and standing up to bullies for the first time; by night he returns to his original body and works a part-time job, still facing the same harsh world.

Based on Taejun Pak’s hit webtoon, the 2022 Netflix anime turns that double life into a story about looks, prejudice, and what people are really worth. Shim Kyu-hyuck voices the original Hyung Seok, while Han Shin voices his second body, and across eight episodes Hyung Seok learns that both of his bodies carry their own burdens, and that real change starts with how he treats others.
