Overview
Monster is a slow-burn psychological thriller built around one impossible choice. Dr. Kenzo Tenma, a Japanese brain surgeon working in Germany, finds his life in utter turmoil after getting involved with a psychopath who was once a former patient. What begins as a doctor’s crisis of conscience becomes a long, tense hunt, with Tenma chasing the truth about the young man he once saved while a determined inspector closes in on him.
What makes Monster stand apart is its patience. Across 74 episodes, it builds tension out of quiet conversations, moral questions and the slow reveal of how one life can ripple into dozens of others. It is less about chases than about choices, and about what a good man is willing to do once he believes he helped create a monster.
