Overview
Sakamoto Days follows Taro Sakamoto, once the most feared hitman in the underworld, who gave up killing after falling in love and marrying Aoi. Now a soft-spoken convenience store owner, he spends his days running the family shop with his wife and daughter Hana, until old enemies from his assassin days track him down and force him back into action.
What makes the series stand out is how it mixes deadpan comedy with inventive action: Sakamoto refuses to kill, so he defeats assassins with store supplies, quick thinking, and sheer skill, while his mind-reading employee Shin Asakura and the sharp-tongued Lu Shaotang get pulled into the chaos around him.
