Slugterra

Overview

Slugterra is a 2012 Canadian animated action-adventure series created by Asaph Fipke. It follows 15-year-old Eli Shane, who travels to the hidden underground world of Slugterra after his father’s death, determined to follow in his father’s footsteps and become the greatest slugslinger of them all.

In Slugterra, tiny creatures called slugs are the key to power: slugslingers load them into blasters and fire them in duels, where the slugs transform into powerful creatures. Eli teams up with Trixie, Kord and Pronto as the Shane Gang, and together they defend the caverns from the villainous Dr. Blakk, who “ghouls” slugs, corrupting them into feral weapons.
