Overview
A young reporter with a sharp eye for trouble buys a small model ship at a market stall, and that ordinary purchase pulls him into a centuries-old chase. Tintin and his faithful dog Snowy soon find themselves pursued across seas and deserts, following clues tied to the lost ship Unicorn and the fortune said to lie with it.
Directed by Steven Spielberg in lively motion-capture animation, the film pairs Tintin with the blustering Captain Haddock and the ever-confused detectives Thomson and Thompson. The result is a globe-trotting mystery full of narrow escapes, sea battles and hidden codes, told with the warmth and curiosity that made Herge’s comics endure.
