Tokyo 24th Ward

Overview

Tokyo 24th Ward is set on a man-made island district in Tokyo Bay, a place built to be a special administrative zone and home to three very different childhood friends: Shuta Aoi, Ran Akagi and Koki Suido. A tragedy pulls them apart, and a year later they are brought back together at a memorial service, where each of them receives a phone call that should be impossible.

The caller claims to be a friend they believed was dead, and each call forces a choice about the future of the ward. As the three friends act on what they hear, their decisions ripple outward, testing their loyalties, their families and the city around them, and turning a personal reunion into a story about responsibility, power and what it costs to protect a home.
