Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion

Overview

Imagine waking up inside a story you have already read — and knowing exactly how your character dies. That is the nightmare facing Rinko Hanasaki, a young woman who, after her sudden death, finds herself reborn as Raeliana McMillan, a minor figure in a romance novel. Raeliana is rich, admired and engaged, but her ending is already written: she is murdered by her own fiancé.

Refusing to accept that fate, Raeliana does something nobody in the novel expects. She seeks out Noah Voltaire Wynknight, the cold and dangerous duke at the story’s dark centre, and proposes a bargain: a fake engagement that will keep her safe and give him something he wants in return. What begins as a calculated deal slowly turns into something far more complicated, as court schemes, old secrets and genuine feelings start to pull the pair together. Blending romance, mystery and palace intrigue, the series turns a familiar reincarnation setup into a sharp game of wits, where every smile can hide a motive.
