The Dragon Prince

Overview

The Dragon Prince takes place in Xadia, a continent split by a bitter war between humans and the magical creatures of the east. When the human princes Callum and Ezran discover a stolen dragon egg — the egg of the Dragon Prince himself — they join forces with Rayla, the Moonshadow elf assassin originally sent to kill them, on a dangerous journey to return the egg to its mother and end the cycle of revenge.

Created by Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond, the series follows the young heroes across seven seasons, or “books,” as they face dark magic, power-hungry rulers and the return of the mysterious Startouch elf Aaravos. Blending humor, heartfelt friendships and large-scale fantasy battles, it grew from a quest story into a complete saga that wrapped up with its seventh book in 2024.
