Release That Witch

Overview

Release That Witch (2026) is a Chinese animated fantasy series, a donghua based on the web novel of the same name. It follows Roland Wimbledon, a modern man who wakes up as the fourth prince of Graycastle in a medieval-style world where witches are hunted by the Church. Sent to the remote Border Town, he sets out to build a new kind of domain, one that treats witches not as a threat but as allies.

With the help of Anna, a witch whose flames can cut and forge, and Nana Pine, whose healing powers can mend the injured, Roland blends magic with engineering, raising walls, forging weapons, and eventually building a steam engine to defend his people. As the Months of Demons draw near and conspiracies gather around his family, he must lead a quiet revolution that could reshape the whole kingdom.
